The Thursday Ladies Section 3 Team won their grand final against by a single game. The Team, consisting of Kim, Marianne, Trudi and Frances with Kathy and Vicki supporting the team, held on in the last set to win the match.
With the Semi Finals week coming to a close the Club has a few teams advancing to Grand Finals this week:
- The B Grade 2 Mixed Team lost to Mt Carmel in their Semi Final last Wednesday.
- The Thursday Ladies Section 3 Team had a forfeit from Royal Park and advance to the Grand Final. They play Buckley Park on Thursday at Buckley Park.
- The Thursday Ladies Section 4 Team defeated Strathmore and play the Grand Final against Buckley Park on Thursday at Buckley Park. That’s not a misprint, both teams will be playing at Buckley Park in a Super Grand Final Day against the old enemy.
- The B Special 5 Mens Team were defeated by Oak Park in their Semi Final last Thursday.
- The A Grade 2 Boys combined team with Airport West won their Semi Final, defeating Taylors Lakes, and now play Strathmore in the Grand Final on Friday night at Sunbury.
- The A Grade 4 Boys Team lost to Greenvale in their Semi Final last Friday.
- The B Grade 2 Unisex Team won their Semi Final against St. Christopher’s and play St. Vincent’s at Greenvale this Saturday.
Good luck to all teams playing in Grand Finals this week and well done to all teams who made the finals.
With the Spring seasons coming to a close it’s now time for the Finals. The Club has the following teams in the finals this week, with the Juniors playing their last rounds this weekend.
- The B Grade 2 Mixed Team play Mt Carmel at Greenvale on Wednesday night.
- The Section 3 Ladies Team play Royal Park at Royal Park on Thursday.
- The Section 4 Ladies Team play Strathmore at Strathmore on Thursday.
- The B Special 5 Mens Team play Craigieburn at Oak Park on Thursday night.
The Committee thanks all players for playing this season and we wish the teams playing this week good luck in their finals.

The Club has had lots of teams in Finals in the past few weeks, with a few Grand Finals:
- The Thursday Ladies Section 3 (Red) team won their Semi Final this week, defeating Buckley Park 41 games to 27. The team consisted of Vicki, Penny, Frances, Kim and Kathy. They play Rosamond in their Grand Final this Thursday at Rosamond, which will be a big task as Rosamond are undefeated so far this season.
- The A Reserve 4 Unisex Juniors team play their Semi Final today against Hadifeld at Ascot Vale.
- The D Special 3 Unisex Juniors team play their Semi Final today against Sydenham at Essendon.
- The Ladies B Special 1 team lost to St. Monica’s by six games. The team consisted of Ashley, Vicki, Jan and Tracey.
- The Mixed B Grade 2 team lost to Gladstone Park. The team consisted of Vanessa, Bella, Matthew and Shaymus.
- The Mens B Special 5 team lost their Semi Final to Buckley Park by nine games. The team, consisting of Warren, Greg, Tim and Kieran, started strongly but Buckley Park played to well.

Both the NSNTA and the NSLTA have published their fixtures for the upcoming season, which are available on their web sites.
The seasons start on the following dates:
- Thursday Ladies – Thursday 1st February
- Thursday Mens – Thursday 1st February
- Tuesday Ladies – Tuesday 6th February
- Wednesday Mixed – Wednesday 7th February
We are expecting the NSJTA to publish their fixture shortly.

The Club’s teams had a successful week with finals, with a number of teams winning their finals and advancing to the Grand Final this week:
- The Thursday Ladies Section 4 team played their Grand Final and defeated Buckley Park. (Correction, originally this post stated that this team lost, they actually won. Sorry to the team and well done!)
- The Juniors A Reserve 4 team won their Semi Final against Airport West and play Deer Park in the Grand Final this Saturday.
- The Juniors C Special 2 team lost to Buckley Park.
- The Juniors C Grade 2 team lost to Deer Park .
- The Tuesday Ladies B Special 1 team lost to Buckley Park.
- The Tuesday Ladies C Reserve 2 team lost to Strathmore.
- The Mixed B Reserve 1 team defeated West Brunswick and will play in the Grand Final against Buckley Park at Gladstone Park on Wednesday night.
- The Mens B Special 5 team defeated Hillside and will play in the Grand Final against Taylor’s Lakes at Airport West on Thursday night.

- The Thursday Ladies Section 4 team defeated Avondale Heights in their Semi Final on Thursday and now play in the Grand Final against Buckley Park at Buckley Park this Thursday.
- The Juniors A Grade 1 team played a Semi Final last night and lost to Greenvale.
- The Juniors A Reserve 4 team play Airport West at Hadfield.
- The Juniors C Special 2 team play Buckley Park at Maribyrnong Park today.
- The Juniors C Grade 2 team play Deer Park at Moomba Park today.
- The Tuesday Ladies B Special 1 team play Buckley Park at West Brunswick on Tuesday night.
- The Tuesday Ladies C Reserve 2 team play Strathmore at Keilor East on Tuesday night.
- The Mixed B Reserve 1 team play West Brunswick at Essendon on Wednesday night.
- The Mens B Special 5 team play Hillside at Sydenham on Thursday night.

Last month the Juniors and Thursday Ladies Finals Series were played with a strong representation of the Club.
In the Juniors the Club had five teams in the Semi Finals, and unfortunately all were defeated and some by the narrowest of margins:
- The A Grade 1 team were defeated by Buckley Park by 6 games. The team consisted of Jheevith, Jake, Harry, Sienna, Ellie, Megan and Kai.
- The A Reserve 2 team were defeated by St Christopher’s by 32 games. The team consisted of Jaidyn, Ronald, Ayla, Saskia, Jye and Rebekah.
- The B Grade 2 team were defeated by Oak Park by a single game. The team consisted of Oren, Gus, Tomo, Tom and Reza.
- The C Reserve 2 team were defeated by Ascot Vale by two games. The team consisted of Dean, Peter, Ethan and Olivia
- The D Grade 3 team were defeated by St Therese’s by two games. The team consisted of Ansh, Chelsea, Dylan, Delicia, and Abhiram.
The Thursday Ladies Section 4 team made the Semi Final and unfortunately were defeated.
The Committee wishes to thank all teams for a great season and wishes them luck for the upcoming seasons.
The fixtures for the Spring Seasons have been released and are available on each of the Association’s Web Sites.
The starting dates for the upcoming season are:
- NSLTA Thursday Ladies – Thursday 20th July
- NSNTA Ladies – Tuesday 8th August
- NSNTA Mixed – Wednesday 9th August
- NSNTA Mens – Thursday 10th August
Team captains will be contacted shortly to pick up balls for the season.
