Court Re-location Schedule for Competition Matches during Court Replacement

The following is a summary of the re-location of each Competition match while of our Courts have been replaced. Each of the Team Captains and opposing teams have been notified. Please note that this schedule is subject to change.

For those teams playing at Glencairn’s courts, please take note of the address of the courts as Glencairn have multiple locations throughout Coburg and West Brunswick.

Wednesday 12th April

  • NSNTA – Mixed – A Reserve 2 – Doutta Galla vs. East Coburg is to be played at Oak Park

Thursday 13th April

  • NSNTA – Mens – B Special 5 – Doutta Galla vs. Essendon is to be played at Glenroy
  • NSNTA – Mens – C Special 2 – Doutta Galla vs. Greenvale is to be played at Greenvale

Tuesday 18th April

  • NSNTA – Ladies – A Reserve 2 Doutta Galla vs. Sydenham is to be played at Oak Park
  • NSNTA – Ladies – C Reserve 2 Doutta Galla vs. Keilor East is to be played at Oak Park

Wednesday 19th April

  • NSNTA – Mixed – B Reserve 2 – Douttta Galla vs. Buckley Park is to be played at Glencairn (Fraser Reserve, Hopetoun Avenue, West Brunswick)

Thursday 11th May

  • NSLTA – Section 4 – Doutta Galla vs. St. Monica’s (Black) is to be played at St. Monica’s.
  • NSNTA – B Special 5 – Doutta Galla vs. Airport West is to be played at Hume.
  • NSNTA – C Special 2 – Doutta Galla vs. Keilor Park is to be played at Keilor Park.

Friday 12th May

  • NSJTA – A Grade 3 – Doutta Galla vs. Sydneham is to be played at Sydenham.

Saturday 13th May

  • NSJTA – B Grade 2 – Doutta Galla vs. Mt. Carmel is to be played at Mt. Carmel.
  • NSJTA – C Grade 1 – Doutta Galla vs. St. John Bosco’s is to be played at St. John Bosco’s.

Spring Grand Finals Update

Four teams played in Grand Finals recently and the Club has had one win:

  • The Juniors C Reserve 3 team won their Grand Final against St. Christopher’s by nine games. Sam, Alec, Ryan, Jessica and James played in the final. Congratulations to the team.
  • The Wednesday Mixed A Reserve 2 team lost to St Terese’s by two games, with Ashley, Rachel, Kieran and Andrew playing in the final.
  • The Wednesday Mixed C Special 1 team lost to Merlynston by two games, with Bella, Vanessa, Matthew and Shaymus playing in the final.
  • The Mens B Grade 1 team also lost to Merlynston by seven games, with Will, Steven, Clinton and James playing in the final.

The Club congratulates the teams that made the Grand Finals and thanks to all teams for playing this season. The next seasons starts in February.

Spring Semi Finals Update

The Club has had a few teams playing in the Spring Finals across all competitions with the Club having a few teams in Grand Finals this week. Here’s an update on their progress:

  • The Tuesday Ladies A Reserve 2 team lost their Semi Final to Buckley Park by 9 games with Ashley, Vicki, Jan and Tracey playing on the night.
  • The Tuesday Ladies B Grade 2 team lost their Semi Final to Keilor by 18 games, with Kathy, Robyn, Nicole and Kat playing on the night.
  • The Wednesday Mixed A Reserve 2 team defeated Westmeadows by a single game, with Ashley, Rachel, Kieran and Thomas playing on the night. The team play their Grand Final tonight at Delahey.
  • The Wednesday Mixed C Special 1 team defeated West Brunswick by 11 games, with Vanessa, Bella, Matthew and Joshua playing on the night. The team play their Grand Final tonight at Gladstone Park.
  • The Mens B Grade 1 team defeated Mt Carmel by 5 games with Will, Clinton, Steven and James playing on the night. The team play their Grand Final on Thursday Night at Royal Park.
  • The Juniors B Reserve 2 team lost their Semi Final to Hume by 11 games with Reza, Tomo, Gus, Oren and Tom playing on the day.
  • The Juniors C Reserve 3 team defeated Essendon by 8 games, with Sam, Alec, Ryan, Jessica and James. The team play their Grand Final on Saturday morning.

The Club wishes the teams playing their Grand Finals the best of luck and congratulations to all teams who made the Finals.

Spring Finals are on this week and Team Entries for next Season are now open

The finals for the Spring Season commence this week with the Club having the following teams in the finals:

  • The Ladies A Reserve 2 team play Buckley Park at Tullamarine on Tuesday night.
  • The Ladies B Grade 2 team play Keilor at Greenvale on Tuesday night.
  • The Mixed A Reserve 2 team play Westmeadows at Buckley Park on Wednesday night.
  • The Mixed C Special 1 team play West Brunswick at Keilor on Wednesday night.
  • The Mens B Grade 1 team play Mt. Carmel at Essendon on Thursday night.
  • The Juniors B Reserve 2 team play Hume on Saturday morning.
  • The Juniors C Reserve 3 team play Essendon on Thursday morning.

Please note that the Club is hosing a Men’s Semi Final on Thursday 17 November.

Team entries are also open for the Autumn 2023 season, commencing in February. If you wish to play next season please contact the Club. Entries close by Wednesday 23 November.

Grand Final Wins

The Club recently had two wins in two Grand Finals:

  • The Ladies B Special 1 Team defeated West Brunswick 34 games to 21. The team, consisting of Ashley, Nicole, Vicki and Tracey with Annette, Jan and Karen supporting the team, dominated their opponents only dropping one set on the night.
  • The Juniors A Grade 3 team defeated Buckley Park 52 games to 49. The team, consisting of Eleanor, Paramita, Sienna, Marie, Josh, Kai, Arya and Toby, held on to win a very close match.

Congratulations to the winners and thanks to all players who played this season.

Spring Fixtures Available Now

The Fixtures for the Spring Competitions have been published and are available on each Association’s Web Site. The Spring Seasons commence on the following dates:

  • The NSJTA season commences on Friday 15 July 2022 and Saturday 16 July 2022 and the fixture is available at https://nsjta.org.au/
  • The NSLTA season commences on Thursday 21 July 2022 and the fixture is available at https://nslta.asn.au/
  • The NSNTA Ladies season commences on Tuesday 2 August 2022 and the fixture is available at https://nsnta.org/
  • The NSNTA Mixed season commences on Wednesday 3 August 2022 and the fixture is available at https://nsnta.org/
  • The NSNTA Mens season commences on Thursday 4 August 2022 and the fixture is available at https://nsnta.org/

NSNTA Semi Finals Update

The first week of the NSNTA Finals has been completed and the Club has one team of the five playing finals moving through the Grand Final:

  • The Ladies B Special 1 team, consisting of Ashley, Nicole, Vicki and Tracey, defeated Oak Park by 15 games. They play West Brunswick at Sunbury in the Grand Final on Tuesday night.
  • The Ladies C Reserve 2 team, consisting of Elizabeth, Connie, Emma and Michelle, were defeated by Digger’s Rest by 18 games.
  • The Mixed A Reserve 2 team, consisting of Ashley, Raelene, Kieran and Thomas, were defeated by Merlynston by 7 games.
  • The Mens C Special 2 team, consisting of Trevor, John, Liam and John, were defeated by Glencairn by 25 games.

The Committee wishes the Ladies B Special 1 team luck for the Grand Final on Tuesday night and well done to all teams who made the finals.

NSNTA Season Commences Next Week

The NSNTA Autumn Season is commencing in the first week of February, with the following competitions starting next week:

  • Ladies – Tuesday 1 February 2022
  • Mixed – Wednesday 2 February 2022
  • Mens – Thursday 3 February 2022

The fixtures have been published are are available on the NSNTA’s Web Site.

The NSNTA’s Autumn 2022 COVIDSafe guidelines can be downloaded here. The key points are:

  • All players and spectators must check-in for each match.
  • Clubrooms are subject to density limits and toilets are to be available.
  • Supper is not required to be provided and should not be expected

As per Victorian Government guidelines players are generally not required to to be vaccinated to play competitive community sport. Players are required to be vaccinated to have supper. If Home Teams choose to provider supper the Home Team’s captain for the night should ensure that all players are vaccinated.

Some clubs have additional vaccination requirements that apply to their venue. Please ensure you check this list on the NSNTA’s Website about these Clubs. The current list of Clubs this applies to are:

  • PEGS – All persons 18 years and over, including players, must be fully vaccinated
  • Royal Park – Spectators/visitors aged 18 years and over must be fully vaccinated. Players are not required to be vaccinated.
  • St Therese’s – All persons 18 years and over, including players, must be fully vaccinated

If you are playing at these venues a Team must make sure otherwise they will need to forfeit.

Team entries for the Autumn 2022 Season are now open

The Team Entries are now open for the Autumn 2022 Seasons of the various competitions which are due to commence in February.

To register your interest please contact your Team’s Captain or the Senior Selection Committee via Email. Entries close Tuesday 23 November 2021. Please note that all Senior Players must be fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus to play in the Autumn 2022 competitions. For more information about vaccination requirements please refer to each Competition Association’s Web Site.
