The Club is hosting a fundraising Sausage Sizzle this Sunday 3rd July from 8:30am to 4pm at Bunnings Maribyrnong.
Come down, see our volunteers and buy a sausage to support the Club.
The Club is seeking to gauge the interest from Members who would like to purchase a Doutta Galla Club Shirt. The price will depend on the number of Members that are interested, however it is expected to be approx. $50 each.
The following are our current designs. We are looking to do both colours if there is enough interest.

Once we have surveyed Members we will ask to submit an Order Form that we will send to the manufacturer.
The first week of the NSNTA Finals has been completed and the Club has one team of the five playing finals moving through the Grand Final:
- The Ladies B Special 1 team, consisting of Ashley, Nicole, Vicki and Tracey, defeated Oak Park by 15 games. They play West Brunswick at Sunbury in the Grand Final on Tuesday night.
- The Ladies C Reserve 2 team, consisting of Elizabeth, Connie, Emma and Michelle, were defeated by Digger’s Rest by 18 games.
- The Mixed A Reserve 2 team, consisting of Ashley, Raelene, Kieran and Thomas, were defeated by Merlynston by 7 games.
- The Mens C Special 2 team, consisting of Trevor, John, Liam and John, were defeated by Glencairn by 25 games.
The Committee wishes the Ladies B Special 1 team luck for the Grand Final on Tuesday night and well done to all teams who made the finals.

The Committee are looking for assistance from Members to assist with the stand on the day. If you’re available for a couple of hours please contact the Club or a Committee Member.
The NSNTA regular season has come to a close this week with the Semi Finals to commence next week. The club has four teams playing in finals this week:
- The Ladies B Special 1 team play Oak Park at West Brunswick on Tuesday night.
- The Ladies C Reserve 2 team play Digger’s Rest at Sunbury on Tuesday night.
- The Mixed A Reserve 2 team play Merlynston at Buckley Park on Wednesday night.
- The Mens C Special 2 team play Glencairn at Greenvale
The Committee wishes all teams luck for the finals and thanks all teams for their participation this season.
The Team Entries are also open for next season. Please contact your Team’s captain if you wish to play again next season or you can contact the Club and we will register your interest. Entries must be submitted by Saturday 4th June.
With the coronavirus restrictions being lifted and people getting back into the swing of playing tennis, the Committee is looking to organise regular social tennis on Saturday afternoons for whoever wishes to come. The Club no longer participates in Saturday Afternoon competitions so those that used to play on Saturday are still looking to play and all are welcome.
So for the next few weeks Members are welcome to come down and have a hit with other Members from 1pm on a Saturday.

The Doutta Galla Tennis Club’s annual Open Day is on Sunday 6th February from 10am to 4pm. Everyone and anyone is welcome to come down to the Club, have a hit with the coach and play some tennis – all for free.

The NSNTA Autumn Season is commencing in the first week of February, with the following competitions starting next week:
- Ladies – Tuesday 1 February 2022
- Mixed – Wednesday 2 February 2022
- Mens – Thursday 3 February 2022

The NSNTA’s Autumn 2022 COVIDSafe guidelines can be downloaded here. The key points are:
- All players and spectators must check-in for each match.
- Clubrooms are subject to density limits and toilets are to be available.
- Supper is not required to be provided and should not be expected
As per Victorian Government guidelines players are generally not required to to be vaccinated to play competitive community sport. Players are required to be vaccinated to have supper. If Home Teams choose to provider supper the Home Team’s captain for the night should ensure that all players are vaccinated.
Some clubs have additional vaccination requirements that apply to their venue. Please ensure you check this list on the NSNTA’s Website about these Clubs. The current list of Clubs this applies to are:
- PEGS – All persons 18 years and over, including players, must be fully vaccinated
- Royal Park – Spectators/visitors aged 18 years and over must be fully vaccinated. Players are not required to be vaccinated.
- St Therese’s – All persons 18 years and over, including players, must be fully vaccinated
If you are playing at these venues a Team must make sure otherwise they will need to forfeit.

The Team Entries are now open for the Autumn 2022 Seasons of the various competitions which are due to commence in February.
To register your interest please contact your Team’s Captain or the Senior Selection Committee via Email. Entries close Tuesday 23 November 2021. Please note that all Senior Players must be fully vaccinated against the Coronavirus to play in the Autumn 2022 competitions. For more information about vaccination requirements please refer to each Competition Association’s Web Site.

The Victorian Government this week has permitted Social Tennis and the Club can now be reopened for Social Play. The following is a summary of the conditions:
- Social Play is permitted for those that are yet to be vaccinated for Singles for two people only from one or two households.
- Social Play is permitted for those that are vaccinated for Singles or Doubles for up to four players. All must be fully vaccinated or have an official exemption and the players can be from no more than two households. Players must carry proof of vaccination and may be required to present proof of vaccination to an authorised officer of the Victorian Government.
- Coaching can be held for those that are vaccinated with up to five people plus the Coach. All must be fully vaccinated or have an official exemption. Children under 12 years of age are considered as a fully vaccinated person. Proof of vaccination will be checked by Coaches and will be recorded.
- Coaching can be held for those that are yet to be vaccinated with two people plus the Coach.
- Face coverings must be worn when not playing.
- The Clubhouse is to remain closed, including the Toilets.
- All Players must check in with the QR Code when entering the Club.
The Book a Court System has been reopened and is open for bookings.
Please note that all Members must be full financial Members for the 2021/2022 Membership Year in order to book a court or use the Courts as a Member.
