Fundraising Bunnings Sausage Stand on Sunday 6th October

The Club are hosting a Sausage Sizzle on Sunday 6th October from 8am at Bunnings Maribyrnong. Last year’s sausage sizzle was a great success, and the Committee are working very hard preparing for this year’s.

The Committee are looking for assistance from Members to assist with the stand on the day. If you’re available for a couple of hours please contact the Club or a Committee Member.

We rely on donations from businesses in the community to make this fundraising effort happen, so the Committee are looking for assistance from Members to ask local businesses for assistance in donating sausages, bread or soft drinks to the event.

And remember to come on down on the Sunday to buy a sausage and support the Club.

Annual General Meeting this Sunday 16th June

The Club’s Annual General Meeting is to be held on Sunday 16th June at 7:30pm at the Club house.

All Members are welcome to attend – the Committee will have an update on our new Lights, Court Booking System and and update on the future. This includes due dates and the expected installation plan. Drinks and snacks will be provided.

In addition to these main points, the Meeting will involve a summary of the year within the Club as well as any other business for the coming year. The Committee as well as office bearers for the 2019 / 2020 year will also be nominated.

All Members are welcome to attend the AGM. If any Members are unable to attend and wish for a topic to be discussed, you are welcome to send the Club an Email and we will place your topic on the agenda.

Open Day this Sunday 17th February

The Club is holding an Open Day on Saturday 17th February 2019 from 10am to 4pm, everyone is welcome to attend to have a try of tennis and join in the fun. All ages from kids to adults are welcome.

There will be:

  • A free BBQ
  • Face painting
  • Ball Machine
  • Serve Radar
  • Giveaways and Show Bags
  • Raffle and Auction
  • And the chance to meet Chris Guccione – two time Olympian and Pro Tennis Player

Doutta Galla Club Championships Entries 2018 Now Open

Doutta Galla Club Championships 2018 - Entries Now Open

Entries are now open for the 2018 Doutta Galla Club Championships.

Entries close on Friday 16th November, with the Draws and Schedule to be published on Sunday 18th November.

Matches commence on Sunday 25th November, depending on the number of matches to be played, with all Grand Finals to be played on Saturday 8th December. If you can’t make your assigned match you can contact your opponent to reschedule, however any rescheduled matches must be completed prior to the winner’s next match.

The presentation of trophies to the winners will occur at the Club’s Christmas Party on the Saturday evening.

The following events are looking to be held, depending on the number of entrants:

  • Mens Open Singles (All ages)
  • Ladies Open Singles (All ages)
  • Mens Doubles (Handicaps apply, all ages)
  • Ladies Doubles (Handicaps apply, all ages)
  • Junior Boys Singles

Working Bee on this Sunday

The annual Doutta Galla Working Bee is on this Sunday 21st October from 12pm to 3pm.

All are welcome to help perform key maintenance on the Club and ensure it stays beautiful for another 12 months.

A reminder to please bring down any equipment to help, such as wheelbarrows, shovels, gloves, weeding gear, cleaning products, or whatever you think will help.

One of the large tasks we have is to shovel sand onto the court, so especially please bring any equipment down that will assist with this big task.

Financial Adult and Family Members that attend are entitled to receive their $40 Maintenance Levy.

Bunnings Fundraising a Success

The Club held a sausage sizzle stand at Bunnings Maribyrnong on Sunday and it was a huge success. The Club raised a great amount of money and we sold hundreds of sausages.

A special thank you to our Treasurer Kat Glass who organised the whole event who worked tirelessly throughout the process.
